The Malmö festival or as we call it “Malmöfestivalen” is a streetfestival that takes place in Malmö City. The festival has been organised one week every year in August since 1985! Visit the festivals homepage here. The Malmö festival is a warm, friendly and sustainable festival. Right in the heart of the city you will experience everything from ground breaking art, music and culture to a variety of food that reflects the intercultural vibes and people of Malmo. With 1,4 million visitors every year it is the largest festival in a city environment in Scandinavia. Everyone is welcome and the best thing is almost everything is completely free! Welcome to Malmö Citys Design & art market. It takes place on the last weekend in september on Lilla torg (the little square). There are about 50 artists that come to sell their crafts every year. You will find a mix of art and crafts like textile, silver jewellery, glassware and ceramics. Our tip is: Visit the fair, have a nice dinner and then continue your evening on saturday 30th of September by visiting the “Gallery night”.
